Ahead of Eid al-Fitr, Prabowo Ensures Stability in Essential Goods Prices

President Prabowo Subianto held a limited meeting with several ministers from the Red and White Cabinet at Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday, 10 March 2026. During the meeting, the Head of State ensured price stability of essential goods and infrastructure preparedness ahead of the Eid al-Fitr celebration for 1447 H.

“The meeting discussed the stability of supply and prices of essential goods, smooth logistics distribution, as well as infrastructure and public service readiness,” stated Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya in his written statement, cited on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.

According to Seskab Teddy, the discussion aimed to ensure that the public could celebrate Eid al-Fitr safely and comfortably. Consequently, the Head of State emphasised the importance of inter-ministerial and institutional coordination.

“The President stressed the importance of cross-ministerial and institutional coordination in maintaining food availability, controlling essential goods prices, and ensuring smooth distribution to various regions,” said Seskab Teddy.

Collaboration amongst ministries and institutions in ensuring readiness across various aspects ahead of the major Islamic holiday represents a tangible demonstration of government effort and attention towards the public. “Preparedness in the energy sector, transportation, and support from state-owned enterprises are also government priorities,” he continued.

Present at the meeting were the Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, Marine and Fisheries Minister Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, Investment and Downstream Processing Minister/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani, Higher Education, Science, and Technology Minister Brian Yuliarto, State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

Through this coordinated approach, the government ensures that various public needs ahead of Eid al-Fitr are adequately met, so that Indonesians across the country can celebrate the day of victory with devotion and happiness.
