Ahead of Eid 2026, Train Tickets in Kutoarjo Sell Out, Passengers Get Free WiFi

PURWOREJO, KOMPAS.com — PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 5 Purwokerto continues to improve service quality for customers ahead of the 2026 Eid transportation period. One facility now receiving attention is the availability of free WiFi service at several stations, including Kutoarjo Station, along with train ticket discounts. The presence of this free WiFi facility is a breath of fresh air for mudik passengers who need internet access while in the station area, whether for communication, accessing travel information, or simply passing time before departure. He explained that, besides Kutoarjo Station, the free WiFi service is also available at several other stations in the Daop 5 Purwokerto region, such as Purwokerto, Kroya, Kebumen, Cilacap, and Gombong Stations. Thus, train passengers in that region can enjoy similar facilities while in the station area. According to As’ad, this facility is expected to add value for rail service users, while also increasing comfort during the Eid mudik period, which is characterised by a surge in passenger numbers. 1.
