Ahead of Depok City's Anniversary, Pradi Supriatna Calls for Unity

Ahead of the 27th anniversary of Depok City, Pradi Supriatna, Chairman of the Gerindra Party’s Depok branch, affirmed that the political situation in Depok is running smoothly and full of a spirit of togetherness. According to Pradi, the dynamics developing in society are no longer coloured by rigid political barriers. He assessed that all elements are now in the same ranks, namely building Depok City. “There is no longer the term opposition in the context of developing the region. Everyone has the same responsibility to bring progress to the community,” said Pradi on Thursday night (23/4/2026). He believes that political stability is an important foundation in ensuring the continuity of development. In a harmonious atmosphere, various government programmes can run more effectively and directly address community needs. Pradi described Depok City’s 27th anniversary as a moment for reflection as well as strengthening national values. He invited the community to make this commemoration not just an annual ceremony, but a space to strengthen unity amid diversity. “This is the right time to strengthen the spirit of unity. We maintain togetherness, we guard harmony, so that Depok continues to grow into an inclusive and competitive city,” he said. Pradi emphasised the importance of maintaining a cool and mutually respectful social climate. Depok City’s diversity, according to him, is a great strength that must be preserved as a development asset. He is optimistic that with collaboration from all parties—government, legislature, and the people of Depok City—the city will advance further and be able to address various future challenges. “With a spirit of togetherness, we are confident that Depok can step further, becoming a city that not only develops physically but is also strong in values of unity and nationality,” he said.
