Ahead of Deadline, 8.8 Million Taxpayers Have Submitted 2025 SPT Returns
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Finance, through the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP), has recorded submissions of the Annual Income Tax Return (SPT PPh) for the 2025 tax year reaching 8.8 million, precisely 8,874,904 SPTs, as of 24 March 2026.
Director of Education, Services, and Public Relations at DJP, Inge Diana Rismawanti, stated that the majority of reports come from individual taxpayers with a January-December 2025 fiscal year.
“From the total reports, individual employee taxpayers submitted 7,826,341 SPTs, while individual non-employee taxpayers submitted 863,272 SPTs,” she revealed in a written statement on Wednesday (25/3/2026).
Meanwhile, for corporate taxpayers with differing fiscal years that began reporting from 1 August 2025, the number of submissions recorded is 1,549 SPTs for rupiah-denominated entities and 21 SPTs for US dollar-denominated entities.
In addition to SPT submissions, Inge also noted progress on activations of the new tax administration system, Coretax DJP.
As of 22 March 2026, the number of taxpayers who have activated their Coretax accounts reaches 16,723,354 taxpayers.
Inge detailed that 15,677,209 come from individual taxpayers, 955,508 from corporate taxpayers, and 90,411 from government institutions.
