Ahead of Cabinet Reshuffle, Dudung Claims He Received Instructions on KSP Duties

Jakarta – Retired TNI General and Presidential Special Advisor for National Defence, Dudung Abdurachman, arrived at the Presidential Palace Complex in Central Jakarta ahead of the reshuffle of the Merah Putih Cabinet. Based on VIVA’s observations, Dudung appeared wearing a suit and blue tie. Dudung admitted that he was directly telephoned by Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya to attend the inauguration at the Presidential Palace. “Yes, yesterday, I was called by Lieutenant Colonel Teddy, the Seskab, to prepare for the palace at 14:15 WIB for the rehearsal and 15:00 WIB for the inauguration,” Dudung told reporters. Dudung did not explicitly reveal what position he would assume. He said he would follow the instructions from Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto. “Yes, we’ll see what it will be,” he said. Nevertheless, Dudung stated that he had received instructions regarding the duties of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP). “Yes, the guidance is that the KSP’s tasks involve controlling and supervising activities for national priority programmes; I’ll explain it after being inaugurated,” Dudung emphasised. Dudung did not elaborate much on the position he would hold. He only stressed that, as a soldier, he was ready to be assigned anything by President Prabowo. “Oh, I’m a soldier, I must be ready, especially on the President’s orders,” Dudung concluded.
