Ahead of 80th Bhayangkara Anniversary, Rudy Susmanto Attends Flower Scattering Pilgrimage at Brimob Cikeas Heroes Cemetery
The Regent of Bogor, Rudy Susmanto, alongside the Vice Regent and regional leadership officials (Forkopimda), attended a pilgrimage and flower-laying ceremony at the Brimob Cikeas Heroes Cemetery, Gunung Putri, on Tuesday, 23 June 2026. The activity was conducted in anticipation of the 80th Bhayangkara Anniversary, which will be commemorated on 1 July 2026.
The pilgrimage was led by the Head of the Sabhara Corps of the National Police (Baharkam Polri), Inspector General Mulia Hasudungan Ritonga. Rudy Susmanto’s presence reflected respect and tribute to the nation’s heroes and members of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty to maintain security, order, and the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
Rudy Susmanto stated that the pilgrimage and flower-laying ceremony are not merely part of the Bhayangkara Anniversary celebrations, but also a momentum to remember the services and emulate the spirit of devotion of the heroes. “Ahead of the Bhayangkara Anniversary commemoration, today I, along with the Vice Regent of Bogor, conducted a pilgrimage and flower-laying ceremony led by the Head of the Sabhara Corps of Baharm Polri, Inspector General Mulia Hasudungan Ritonga, at the Brimob Cikeas Heroes Cemetery,” said Rudy Susmanto.
Rudy noted that the fallen heroes and police officers have bequeathed values of devotion, bravery, and sacrifice for the nation and the state. Therefore, their spirit of struggle and services must continue to be preserved, remembered, and used as an example for future generations.
“This activity is a manifestation of respect and appreciation for the heroes and members of the Polri who have dedicated their lives and souls to maintaining the security, order, and integrity of the nation,” said Rudy.
He emphasised that the fighting spirit of the heroes should not stop merely as a historical memory, but must be realised through tangible service in serving the community and developing the region.
“The services of the heroes are not only remembered but also continued through sincere devotion to the country,” he added.
Through this momentum leading up to the Bhayarga Anniversary, Rudy Susmanto hopes that the spirit of devotion, loyalty, and dedication inherited from the heroes can continue to inspire all elements of the nation to work and serve for the interests of the community, the region, and the state.
