Ahead of 25th Anniversary, Democrat Party's AHY to Meet Political Figures

The Chairman of the Democrat Party’s Central Executive Board, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), plans to embark on a political safari in the near future. The political safari will be part of a series of activities commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Democrat Party. AHY revealed that his party has an annual programme called Silaturahmi 360. The agenda is carried out to establish political communication with party leaders. ‘Essentially, we want to build good Silaturahmi 360 with various figures, including political party leaders at both the central and regional levels,’ AHY said when met at Plaza Senayan, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (8/7/2026). Therefore, he will visit a number of political figures ahead of the Democrat Party’s 25th anniversary celebration. AHY expressed his desire for the party to continue fostering friendships with other political parties. ‘The Democrats want to be friends with everyone. Politics is politics. Competition must end when we want to advance this country together,’ said the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure. According to AHY, every political party certainly has its own interests. However, he also believes that political parties share the same goal of advancing Indonesia. ‘In the struggle, we must also have a great spirit and purpose,’ he said.
