AHA Commerce Expands Operations into Southeast Asia
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian integrated e-commerce management service provider AHA Commerce is expanding its operations to Thailand in a bid to bring its data-driven digital business management capabilities to the Southeast Asian market. According to AHA Commerce Chief Executive Officer Stephen Lawrence, the expansion is supported by the company’s experience in developing systems, processes, and technology to help brands grow across various marketplaces. He added that the expansion into Thailand is not merely an effort to broaden the market, but a form of validation that the business model and systems developed in Indonesia can be applied in other countries. “The system has proven capable of generating consistent growth for brands in Indonesia, and we see an opportunity to bring the same approach to the regional market,” he said in a statement in Jakarta on Friday. To date, the company has been entrusted to manage more than 280 brands, supported by over 220 expert staff, and has handled more than 8.1 million orders with a total managed turnover exceeding Rp453 billion in the last 12 months. “This achievement serves as the foundation for us to bring this business model to the regional market,” he said. In its initial phase, the services already running in Thailand focus on managing online stores for local brands. The operational model adopts the system developed in Indonesia with various adjustments to consumer characteristics, marketplace dynamics, and promotional strategies relevant to the Thai market. Business operations are run on a hybrid basis, where local teams collaborate with Indonesian teams in managing the e-commerce operations of various brands in Thailand. Chief Business Officer and Co-Founder of AHA Commerce, Andre Chouw, added that the expansion into Thailand also brings the AHABOT AI Marketing system, which was developed based on experience managing hundreds of online stores. This system aids decision-making in store management in a more measurable way, from selecting products to promote and campaigns to join, to determining discount amounts based on data. He added that this data-driven approach has been applied in the Indonesian market and is becoming the management standard in the Thai market. “Of course, the implementation is still tailored to consumer behaviour, marketplace characteristics, and the needs of each brand in Thailand. The principle is the same, but the execution must be relevant to local market conditions,” said Andre.
