Jakarta – A warm and cheerful atmosphere filled Al-Ikhlas Mosque in Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK), North Jakarta, on Friday afternoon, 27 February 2026. A total of 500 orphaned children from the PIK area and surrounding regions of Banten gathered for an iftar meal and charitable assistance programme organised by Agung Sedayu Group as part of its social care initiatives during the month of Ramadhan.

The event, titled “Agung Sedayu Sincere Ramadhan Sharing”, served as a moment of unity between the company and the surrounding community. Beyond merely breaking the fast together, the programme featured various educational activities and entertainment for the children, including film screenings, storytelling, interactive games, prize draws, and the distribution of charitable assistance.

The event continued with congregational Asr prayer, marawis performances, Qur’anic recitation competitions, and religious sermons that enhanced the spiritual atmosphere as evening approached. The presence of hundreds of orphaned children from various areas surrounding PIK, particularly Banten, filled the mosque with a spirit of togetherness and gratitude.

Nono Sampono, Chief Executive Officer of Agung Sedayu Group, emphasised that the charity initiative for orphaned children is not merely a ceremonial programme but reflects values embedded in the company’s governance and corporate culture.

“This activity demonstrates Agung Sedayu’s commitment as a company to sharing with orphaned children. We are assisting 500 orphaned children in the PIK area, particularly in Banten,” said Nono.

He explained that the company has a social responsibility to ensure that its existence and business progress benefit the surrounding community. For this reason, orphaned children have become a priority in the company’s various social activities, particularly during Ramadhan.

Nono further stated that this initiative should not be viewed solely from a material perspective but rather as a demonstration of care, commitment, and social values that the company wishes to instil in children under its care in areas surrounding its operations.

Nono Sampono also confirmed that the iftar meal and assistance for orphaned children will continue to be held annually during Ramadhan. He noted that a similar event was held the previous year at Menara Syariah, whilst this year it was centred at Al-Ikhlas Mosque in PIK.

“We will continue this initiative. Last year we held it at Menara Syariah, this year at Al-Ikhlas Mosque, and we will continue it in the future, particularly during Ramadhan,” Nono said.
