Agro-tourism attracts Seattle businessmen
SURABAYA, East Java: A number of businessmen from Seattle, United States, have reportedly expressed interest in investing in developing agro-tourism here.
Governor Basofi Sudirman said on Tuesday that, the businesses also wished to export coffee, cocoa, apples, flowers and vegetables to America, and import their apples and pears to Indonesia, Antara reported.
Basofi revealed the report after meeting with Steven Crane, president of the Seattle-Surabaya Sister City program, and a representative of the U.S. consulate general, Mark C. Eaton.
Crane said that Seattle businesses have agreed to participate in the Surabaya industrial fair next year, and called on local businesses to join the Seattle industrial fair in August. (imn)
