Agrinas Jaladri Distributes 19,500 Free Saltwater Tilapia Seedlings in Subang
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - State-owned company PT Agrinas Jaladri Nusantara (Persero) has distributed aid in the form of 19,500 saltwater tilapia seedlings in Subang Regency, West Java. The aid was provided to two local breeders, Ade and Hj. Warsini, who are known for their experience in fisheries cultivation in the area. Public Relations & CSR Manager of Agrinas Jaladri Nusantara, Viera Lovienta, stated that the distribution represents the company’s commitment to strengthening the national fisheries sector. “Support for local breeders is an important part of joint efforts to strengthen the national fisheries sector,” said Viera in an official statement on Monday (11/5/2026). Viera hopes that the aid will help strengthen businesses and encourage community economic growth. The programme also includes monitoring of the saltwater tilapia seedlings to ensure sustainable, measurable, and optimal cultivation. Agrinas Jaladri, according to Viera, views support for breeders as crucial to strengthening the economic chain in the national fisheries sector. Furthermore, saltwater tilapia seedlings are considered important because this fisheries commodity has promising economic potential. “We hope this saltwater tilapia seedling aid can provide real benefits for increasing cultivation productivity, while supporting sustainable economic growth for coastal communities,” said Viera. According to her, in the future, Agrinas Jaladri will continue to promote relevant TJSL programmes in line with developments in the maritime and fisheries sector.
