Agrinas CEO Addresses Wage Concerns for Red and White Cooperative Managers

The Chief Executive of PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, Joao Angelo De Sousa Mota, has responded to complaints regarding the salaries of managers of the Red and White Village Cooperative. He said the welfare and rights of personnel at 1,061 outlets in Central and East Java are a priority.

“Every drop of sweat and every dedication from our personnel is the driving force of the Red and White Village Cooperatives,” said Joao via his personal Instagram account, @bung.joaomota, on Thursday, 9 July 2026.

Joao said Agrinas has continued to check the system running over the past week. The state-owned company has also committed to following up on any data discrepancies once verification has been carried out.

“Some have been resolved and this process is still ongoing,” he said.

According to Joao, Agrinas continues to strive for the best system to achieve solid results in managing the outlets already in operation. In addition, Agrinas is preparing completed outlets so they can begin operations soon.

At the same time, the Red and White Cooperatives are targeted to keep growing to more than 80,000 outlets across Indonesia. Agrinas has been mandated to build the physical outlets and warehouses of the Red and White Cooperatives based on Presidential Instruction No. 17 of 2025.

Earlier, reports emerged of disappointment over the salaries of Red and White Cooperative managers in Bojonegoro Regency, East Java, who were paid only between Rp 76,000 and Rp 1.4 million. According to a report by Blokbojonegoro.com, the pay fell far short of the managers’ expectations. They had also not yet received BPJS Health or BPJS Employment security facilities.
