Agrinas CEO Addresses Wage Concerns for Red and White Cooperative Managers

The President Director of PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, Joao Angelo De Sousa Mota, has addressed complaints regarding the salaries of managers of the Red and White Village Cooperatives. He stated that the welfare and rights of personnel at 1,061 outlets in Central Java and East Java are a priority. “Every drop of sweat and dedication from personnel is the driving wheel of the KDKMP (Red and White Village/Sub-district Cooperatives),” Joao said via his personal Instagram account @bung.joaomota on Thursday, 9 July 2026. Joao explained that Agrinas is continuously checking the system that has been running over the past week. The state-owned enterprise is also committed to following up on data discrepancies after verification is completed. “Some have been resolved and this process is still ongoing,” he said. Joao added that Agrinas is constantly striving for the best system to achieve solid results in managing the outlets that are already operational. In addition, Agrinas is preparing completed outlets to begin operations soon. Simultaneously, the Red and White Cooperatives are targeted to continue being built, reaching more than 80,000 outlet units across Indonesia. Agrinas has been mandated to construct the physical outlets and warehouses for the Red and White Cooperatives based on Presidential Instruction Number 17 of 2025. Previously, news circulated about the disappointment over the salaries of Red and White Cooperative managers in Bojonegoro Regency, East Java, who were reportedly paid only between Rp 76,000 and Rp 1.4 million. According to the report from Blokbojonegoro.com, the salary was far below the managers’ expectations. They also had not yet received BPJS Health or BPJS Employment protection facilities.
