Agriculture minister to attend first oil palm harvest in Buol
Tolitoli, Central Sulawesi (ANTARA News) - Agriculture Minister Anton Apriyantono is scheduled to attend the first harvest of Buol district`s oil palm plantations in Central Sulawesi on March 29, 2008, a local government official said.
Spokesman of the Buol district government Musdianto said on Tuesday the oil palm plantations whose first harvest would be witnessed by the minister belonged to PT Hardaya Intiplantation.
"One of the purposes of the minister`s visit to this district is to attend the grand harvest of oil palm plantations," Musdianto said.
Buol is one of the districts in Central Sulawesi which was formed as a subdivision of Tolitoli district. It is an oil palm growing district but also produces clove and cacao. (*)
