Agribusiness, forestry fair open

JAKARTA: The Agribusiness Fair and Forest Production Festival was
opened on Friday at Lapangan Banteng park in Central Jakarta, the
city administration announced.

The head of the City Agriculture and Forest Agency, Peni
Susanti, said participants from Lampung, Bali and all of the
provinces on Java island were taking part in the event, which
will run until Oct. 27.

The annual festival features various agricultural and forestry
produces such as fruits, trees, decorative fish and livestock.

There also will be seminars on mangrove preservation and a
seminar on the Nusantara tropical fruit. --JP
