AGP Cheap Market Continues During Ramadan, Supporting Citizens and Maintaining Food Stability
Jakarta — Artha Graha Peduli (AGP) Foundation has resumed its series of Cheap Market activities that began on 11 December 2025 and have continued to the present day. This programme represents AGP’s commitment to helping communities obtain essential goods at affordable prices through a subsidy scheme, whilst also contributing to maintaining food stability amid growing community needs during Ramadan.
This Cheap Market targets low-income communities in the operational areas surrounding Artha Graha Network (AGN). Distribution is conducted directly through door-to-door mechanisms in operational units to ensure that assistance reaches the right targets and reaches residents in need.
Beyond easing the economic burden on families, this programme is also part of efforts to maintain community purchasing power and support the stability of basic commodity prices at the local level. By providing subsidised food requirements directly to residents, AGP plays a role in strengthening community food security, particularly during the holy month when consumption tends to increase.
As part of the implementation of Corporate Social Safety Responsibility (CSSR), AGP also provides health education services, free examinations and treatment in cooperation with Arthakes doctor teams. This service is a concrete manifestation of the community social pillar that AGP consistently implements in supporting improved community welfare.
E.H. Rebello, Executive Head of AGP’s Cheap Market, emphasised that the continuation of this programme represents AGP’s commitment to supporting the community whilst maintaining social harmony.
“Through the continuation of this programme since December 2025 through Ramadan, Artha Graha Peduli reaffirms its commitment to continue to be present and make a real contribution to society. We want to help maintain food stability, strengthen community purchasing power, and foster a spirit of mutual cooperation and unity in diversity,” Rebello stated.
The activities also involve employees of Artha Graha Peduli, Artha Graha Group and Artha Graha Network, including those of non-Muslim faith. This participation reflects the values of diversity that live in every social action by AGP. Social concern becomes a shared spirit that transcends differences, strengthening internal solidarity whilst expanding benefits to society.
“We are also providing Ramadan ta’jil assistance as a form of care and togetherness. We hope that what we do can help communities observing the fasting ritual, bring blessings, and further strengthen the bonds of friendship and unity amid diversity,” Rebello said.
Through this series of activities, Artha Graha Peduli hopes that the Cheap Market will not only be a short-term economic solution, but also become part of a real contribution to maintaining food stability, strengthening social resilience, and building solidarity within society.
