AGO's Asset Recovery Agency Auctions 90 Apartments Belonging to Benny Tjokrosaputro

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Asset Recovery Agency (BPA) of the Attorney General’s Office will auction 90 units at South Hills Apartment on Jalan Denpasar Raya, Setiabudi, South Jakarta, which are state confiscation assets from corruption convict Benny Tjokrosaputro.

Head of the Attorney General’s Office Legal Information Centre, Anang Supriatna, said in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday that the auction will be held on Wednesday (29 July).

He said the auction will be conducted through written open bidding via the e-Auction system, without the physical presence of bidders, with a bidding deadline of 2.00pm Western Indonesian Time (WIB) according to the server time, accessible via https://lelang.go.id.

The auction will take place at the Jakarta IV State Assets and Auction Service Office (KPKNL), at 10 Jalan Prajurit KKO Usman dan Harun, Senen, Central Jakarta.

He also explained that the aanwijzing (auction briefing) will be held at South Hills Apartment, located at Jalan Denpasar Raya Lots 5-7, Karet Kuningan, Setiabudi, South Jakarta, from Monday (20 July) to Wednesday (22 July), between 10.00am and 2.00pm WIB.

“(The aanwijzing is) on the objects to be auctioned on an ‘as is’ basis, with all physical and non-physical defects, risks, and shortcomings,” he said.

The total upper limit value of all the auction objects is Rp219,779,226,669, and it is targeted as non-tax state revenue (PNBP) from the auction proceeds.

Benny Tjokrosaputro was convicted of corruption in the management of the finances and investment funds of PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) between 2008 and 2018.

In handling the case, investigators from the Attorney General’s Office seized 93 apartment units at South Hills Kuningan, South Jakarta.
