AGO Studying Justice Collaborator Request from Former Deputy Head of National Nutrition Agency Sony Sonjaya
The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) has received a justice collaborator (JC) application from a suspect, former Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Sony Sonjaya. The AGO is currently studying the JC request.
“The letter has been received and is being studied,” said the Director of Investigation at the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes, Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, to journalists on Wednesday (10/6/2026).
Syarief stated that the investigative team has no deadline for analysing the JC application. He said investigators are continuing to analyse the evidence.
“There is no time limit. We will study it first, then check the evidence that has been obtained and so on,” Syarief explained.
Previously, Sony’s lawyer, Krisna Murti, said his client had named more than 20 individuals in connection with the alleged corruption in the management of the free nutritious meals (MBG) programme. The dozens of names were submitted in the official examination report (BAP).
“We have already conveyed to the investigators, more than 20 names are already in the BAP. During the examination where I accompanied Mr Sony, we put it in the BAP,” Krisna told journalists on Wednesday (10/6).
He revealed that 26 names are suspected of involvement in the case. He noted that this number represents only a portion of the total.
“There are individuals, essentially from the executive, legislative and judiciary branches. The most are from the legislature. The number is 26, with the possibility of increasing; that is just a portion,” he said.
For information, the AGO has named three people as suspects in the alleged corruption case concerning the management of the MBG programme. They are:
Former BGN Head Dadan Hindayana
Former BGN Deputy Head Sony Sonjaya
Former BGN Deputy Head Lodewyk Pusung.
The AGO suspects there were irregularities in the management of the MBG programme. These include the alleged affiliation of the suspects with foundations managing the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) and the alleged mark-up of procurement for electric motorcycles, shoes, tablets, and televisions.
