AGO: Sony Sonjaya Examination to Deepen Justice Collaborator Request

The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has stated that the examination of former Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Sony Sonjaya is intended to deepen the justice collaborator (JC) request submitted by the suspect. “Today’s examination, besides being an examination to deepen the material of the case, also involves deepening the information in the JC request that the concerned party submitted to investigators,” said the Director of Investigation at the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, at the Jampidsus Building in Jakarta on Thursday. He stated that during the examination, investigators are also probing a number of names suspected of demanding quotas for Nutrition Service Fulfilment Units (SPPG). “Indeed, we are currently studying whether that information is confirmed by other evidence. We are studying that at the moment,” he said. He also appreciated Sony Sonjaya’s initiative in conveying information to investigators. On Thursday, Jampidsus investigators examined Sony Sonjaya as a suspect in the alleged corruption case concerning the governance of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme for 2025-2026 for approximately nine hours. In this case, Jampidsus investigators have named five suspects: former BGN Head Dadan Hindayana; former BGN Deputy Head for Organisational Development and Institutional Relations Lodewyk Pusung; former BGN Deputy Head for Operational Nutrition Fulfilment Sony Sonjaya; Asep Yusuf Soemantri, a private party; and PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal Commissioner Andri Mulyono.
