AGO: Sony Sonjaya Examination to Deepen Justice Collaborator Request

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) stated that the interrogation of former Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Sony Sonjaya, is intended to deepen the investigation into the justice collaborator (JC) application submitted by the suspect.

“Today’s examination is not only to delve into the substance of the case, but also to investigate the statements contained in the JC application submitted by the individual to the investigators,” said the Director of Investigation of the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the Attorney General’s Office, Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, at the Jampidsus Building, Jakarta, on Thursday.

He added that during the interrogation, investigators are also looking into several names suspected of requesting shares from the Nutrition Service Fulfilment Units (SPPG).

“We are currently studying whether those statements can be confirmed with other pieces of evidence. That is what we are presently examining,” he said.

He also expressed appreciation for Sony Sonjaya’s initiative in providing information to the investigators.

On Thursday, Jampidsus investigators interrogated Sony Sonjaya, a suspect in the alleged corruption case involving the management of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme for 2025-2026, for approximately nine hours.

In this case, Jampidsus investigators have named five suspects: the former Head of BGN, Dadan Hindayana; the former Deputy Head of BGN for Organisational Development and Institutional Relations, Lodewyk Pusung; the former Deputy Head of BGN for Nutritional Fulfilment Operations, Sony Sonjaya; Asep Yusuf Soemantri, representing the private sector; and the Commissioner of PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal, Andri Mulyono.
