The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) is continuing to investigate assets belonging to convicts in the corruption case involving tin governance in the mining business permit (IUP) area of PT Timah Tbk for the 2015-2022 period. Most recently, a team of executor prosecutors seized nine plots of land belonging to smelter boss Tamron alias Aon.
“The team has carried out an execution seizure of a number of lands and buildings belonging to convict Tamron alias Aon in Bangka Belitung Province,” said Head of the AGO’s Legal Information Centre, Anang Supriatna, in a statement on Friday (12/6/2026).
Anang explained that the series of execution seizures took place over three days, from 9 to 11 June 2026. The asset locations are spread across South Bangka Regency, Central Bangka Regency, and Pangkal Pinang City.
“This action is the execution of a criminal case of corruption and money laundering (TPPU) related to tin commodity trading,” he clarified.

Anang stressed that this execution seizure represents the AGO’s commitment to recovering state financial losses caused by massive corrupt practices in the tin mining sector. These assets will be further processed to cover the state losses caused by the convicts.
Previously, at the first-instance trial at the Corruption Court in the Central Jakarta District Court, Tamron was sentenced to 8 years in prison and a fine of Rp 1 billion. The panel of judges was convinced that Tamron had been legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing criminal acts of corruption and money laundering in tin trading within the Mining Business Permit area of PT Timah Tbk.
Subsequently, the Jakarta High Court panel of judges increased Tamron’s sentence from 8 years to 18 years in prison. Tamron was also fined Rp 1 billion, subsidiary to 6 months in custody. In addition, the judge ordered Tamron to pay restitution amounting to Rp 3,538,932,640,663.67 (Rp 3.5 trillion).
