The Attorney General’s Office has stated there is currently no schedule for the examination of former National Nutrition Agency (BGN) head Nanik Sudaryati Deyang after she resigned from her position. “For now, there is no summons schedule,” said Head of the Attorney General’s Office Legal Information Centre Anang Supriatna when confirmed in Jakarta on Wednesday. However, Anang said investigators could examine Nanik if her testimony is needed in the investigation into the alleged corruption case in the management of the Free Nutritious Meal Programme at the BGN for 2025–2026. “Going forward, it is possible as long as investigators need her testimony for evidence,” he said. Through her social media account, Nanik stated she would undergo treatment for heart disease abroad. She also claimed to have submitted her resignation to President Prabowo Subianto. “I told the President with a thousand apologies that it seems I must resign as Head of BGN for the sake of my health,” Nanik said. In her statement, Nanik affirmed she continues to support President Prabowo’s efforts to improve public welfare through various government programmes.
