The Director of Investigation at the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, stated that his office will not seize electric motorcycles from the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme procured under the leadership of former National Nutrition Agency (BGN) head Dadan Hindayana and his deputies Lodewyk Pusung and Sony Sonjaya. The AGO said it will supervise the motorcycles before they are utilised by the BGN.

“The motorcycles have not been seized to date, only sealed so we can monitor their movement because they have not yet been utilised by the BGN,” Syarief told reporters on Friday (18/6/2026).

Syarief mentioned that the motorcycles sealed by the AGO will be utilised by the BGN. He assessed that this step will reduce the losses suffered by the state. “That is correct, so the state’s losses do not increase,” Syarief said.

When confirmed separately, the Head of the AGO’s Legal Information Centre, Anang Supriatna, stated that his office is still in the process of sealing the items. Anang said the electric motorcycles will eventually be used by the BGN with the investigators’ knowledge.

“The Prosecutor’s Office indeed sealed them with the aim of recording the whereabouts of these motorcycles so that they can later be used by the BGN for operations. However, in this case, their use or movement must be with the investigators’ knowledge,” Anang said.

Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Agustina Arumsari previously spoke about the fate of the electric motorcycles budgeted under the leadership of former BGN Head Dadan Hindayana. Arumsari stated that products already budgeted by the state should ideally be utilised to their maximum potential.

“Yes, later we will also request information from the Prosecutor’s Office. The point is actually this, overall, not just the motorcycles. Everything that was already purchased in 2025, including IT, we actually want to maximise its use. This is not just for the motorcycles; there may be certain policies later,” Arumsari said at the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday (15/6/2026).

She said assets that have been purchased using state money must be maximised. According to her, budget allocations with similar outputs will no longer be found in the following year.

“But the point is not just that. Yesterday, there was mention of laptops, IoT (Internet of Things), CCTV, and so on that have already been paid for—they must be maximised. That is also one of the ways we are combing through the 2026 budget. We are combing through budget items whose descriptions and outputs are more or less the same as those in 2025, and we are saying no. That no longer exists in 2026,” she stated.

Arumsari described the utilisation of goods already purchased by the BGN as one of the efforts to streamline the budget. If there are still shortages, the BGN will supplement them according to needs.

“But the general principle is, I am not speaking about individual items—socks, motorcycles, whatever, no. The general principle is that what has already been disbursed in 2025, because state money has already been spent, we must maximise its utilisation,” she said.
