AGO Reveals Private Sector Link to Dadan in Free Nutritious Meals Case

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has revealed the connection between the former Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana (DH), and a private individual with the initials GHS in the alleged corruption case regarding the management of the 2025-2026 Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme.

The Director of Investigation (Dirdik) of the Special Crimes Division (Jampidsus) of the Attorney General’s Office, Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, stated at the Jampidsus Building in Jakarta on Thursday that GHS is a private party requested by Dadan to find partners for the implementation of the MBG programme.

“Mr GHS had known Mr DH before 2025. In fact, they had known each other since before 2024,” he said.

In the process, Dadan unlawfully provided GHS with access to obtain SPPG kitchen sites through a foundation owned by GHS. Once the GHS foundation secured these kitchen sites, the foundation would sell them to parties wishing to establish SPPG kitchens.

“Mr GHS was given access by Mr DH to communicate with the verification team appointed by DH, allowing GHS to manage the rollback of SPPLGs under the GHS foundation to restore their status,” Syarief revealed.

After the SPPG sites were arranged, GHS unlawfully provided various amounts of cash, in both foreign currency and Rupiah, to Dadan.

“The provision of money was not a one-off event, but occurred periodically as needed. It was not a single payment. As for the total amount, we are currently calculating it,” he added.

For his actions, GHS is being charged under Article 12, letters a, b, and e of Law Number 31 of 1999 on Corruption Crimes, as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001, in conjunction with Article 20, letters a or c of Law Number 1 of 2023 regarding the Criminal Code (KUHP), and Article 606 of the Indonesian Criminal Code.

GHS is the sixth suspect in this case. Previously, the Attorney General’s Office Special Crimes Division had named five suspects in this matter: the former Head of BGN Dadan Hindayana; the former Deputy Head of BGN for Organisational Development and Institutional Relations, Lodewyk Pusung; the former Deputy Head of BGN for Nutritional Fulfilment Operations, Sony Sonjaya; Asep Yusuf Soemantri, representing the private sector; and the Commissioner of PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal, Andri Mulyono.
