AGO Reveals Febrie Adriansyah Voluntarily Resigned from His Post

The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has stated that Febrie Adriansyah voluntarily resigned from his position as Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus). This step was taken by Febrie so that the alleged corruption case he is currently facing would not impact the institution.

“He did not want to cause adverse effects for the institution. He truly wants to ensure everything is handled professionally and accountably,” said the Head of the AGO’s Legal Information Centre, Anang Supriatna, at the AGO Main Building in Jakarta on Tuesday, 14 July 2026.

Anang also confirmed that Febrie is no longer receiving security protection from Indonesian Military personnel following his resignation. Anang explained that the security detail was attached to the position, not the individual.

“It is no longer there because the military security is attached to the position. After that, it’s gone,” he stated.

As previously reported on Saturday, 11 July 2026, Anang mentioned that Febrie Adriansyah’s resignation had been accepted by the Attorney General, ST Burhanuddin. The resignation will not affect the execution of duties or the handling of various cases currently being managed by Jampidsus.

“The Attorney General’s Office respects this decision and ensures that all duties, functions, and case handling within the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes will continue to run normally and in accordance with applicable mechanisms,” he said.

Following the announcement of his resignation on Saturday afternoon, Febrie was named a suspect in three corruption and money laundering (TPPU) cases. He was not alone, as a private sector individual identified as DR was also named a suspect. The two face different charges. DR is charged under Article 4 and/or Article 5 in conjunction with Article 10 of Law 8/2010 or Article 607 paragraph 1 letters b and c of the new Criminal Code. Meanwhile, Febrie is charged under Article 12 letter e and Article 12 letter B of the Corruption Eradication Law, and Article 3 and 4 of the TPPU Law, or Article 607 paragraph 1 letters a and b of the Criminal Code.
