AGO Responds to Febrie Adriansyah's Sentul House Missing from Wealth Report

Attorney General’s Office spokesperson Anang Supriatna has responded to the admission by former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes Febrie Adriansyah that a house in Sentul, West Java, raided by police in connection with three corruption cases, belongs to him. The property was found to be absent from his official State Administrators’ Wealth Report (LHKPN). Anang admitted he did not yet know for certain whether the information about the asset’s omission from the LHKPN was true. However, he stated that the matter of wealth reporting is a personal affair between the official and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). ‘Firstly, I do not know, LHKPN is personal in nature, reported to the KPK,’ Anang told reporters at the AGO complex in South Jakarta on Tuesday. When asked about the mechanism and supervision of employee wealth reporting, Anang explained that the AGO does have a monitoring mechanism for its employees’ reporting compliance. However, the AGO’s authority is limited to the administrative aspect of the reporting. ‘We only record that the person concerned has proof of reporting, that’s all,’ Anang clarified. The Sentul house came under scrutiny after a search was conducted by National Police investigators in connection with alleged corruption and money laundering cases implicating Febrie. Police found evidence of 74 kilograms of gold bars during the raid. They also seized rupiah, US dollar, and Singapore dollar currency, estimated to be worth around Rp 282.4 billion. All evidence and results from the police search will now be handed over in stages to AGO investigators following the issuance of three new investigation orders. ‘So it has been formed, and since the investigation orders were issued, all pro justitia activities and actions have been transferred to the AGO investigators,’ Anang concluded.
