The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has officially announced nine investigators to handle the alleged corruption and money laundering (TPPU) case involving former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Ardiansyah. The appointment of this special team aims to maintain professionalism and avoid conflicts of interest.

Head of the AGO’s Legal Information Centre, Anang Supriatna, explained that the team consists of senior prosecutors from various fields. ‘We will work professionally in accordance with the applicable legal mechanisms and procedures, while upholding the principle of presumption of innocence,’ Anang stated on Wednesday.

He highlighted that most of the team members have track records at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The case implicating FA was transferred from the National Police. On Saturday, the police handed over three major cases to the AGO: alleged corruption in coal governance, corruption at PT Asabri and PT Jiwasraya for the 2020-2025 period, and alleged money laundering related to the settlement of PT CBS’s debt to PT KNI.

The formation of this special team is a form of synergy between the Police and the AGO. The investigators were selected to minimise potential conflicts of interest, considering the strategic position previously held by Febrie Ardiansyah within the Adhyaksa Corps. The AGO is urged to prove its integrity by thoroughly investigating the case.
