AGO Names Glory Sihimbong as Sixth Suspect in BGN Corruption Case
The investigation into corruption within the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme continues. On Thursday evening (18/6/2026) Western Indonesian Time, the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) named a sixth suspect in the investigation into the trillion-rupiah scandal involving the government’s flagship programme run by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).
Investigators from the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the AGO named Glory Harimas Sihombong (GHS) as a suspect for his role as chairman of the Indonesia Food Security Review foundation. Director of Investigation at Jampidsus, Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, explained that suspect Glory in the MBG case is connected to suspect Dadan Hindayana (DH), the former head of BGN.
The BGN is the sole government-created body tasked with implementing the MBG programme. “Mr GHS is a private party who was asked by suspect DH, as head of BGN, to find partners for the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals programme,” Syarief said at the AGO Building in South Jakarta on Thursday.
In practice, Syarief said, suspect Dadan provided Glory with access to information on the locations of Nutritional Service Fulfilment Unit (SPPG) kitchens. Each SPPG is a BGN partner that establishes a kitchen to produce and distribute MBG meals to beneficiary students.
Under the established rules, the establishment of an SPPG must undergo verification from BGN. The regulations also stipulate that the establishment of an SPPG as a production and distribution kitchen for MBG should originate from foundations at the beneficiary schools.
“However, after Mr GHS’s foundation secured the kitchen locations, the foundation sold these SPPG kitchens to parties wishing to establish MBG kitchens in those designated areas,” Syarief stated.
He mentioned that Dadan also provided Glory with access to communicate with the BGN verification team, the authority responsible for approving SPPG kitchens for MBG needs. “After arranging these SPPG locations, Mr GHS unlawfully gave a sum of money, in both foreign currency and Rupiah, to suspect DH,” Syarief said.
The money, Syarief explained, came from the proceeds of providing SPPG kitchen locations obtained by other parties through Glory’s foundation. “Mr GHS unlawfully gave a sum of money, both in foreign currency and Rupiah, to Mr DH in cash, sourced from MBG partners who sought assistance from Mr GHS and Mr DH to become MBG partners,” Syarief stated.
From the investigation, he continued, it was revealed that Glory’s payments to Dadan had been made routinely since 2025. The smallest amount was around Rp100 million for each SPPG kitchen location. “The amount received was above Rp20 million, and the average was around one hundred million rupiah. These payments were made routinely, since 2025,” Syarief concluded.
