AGO Immediately Detains Glory Harimas, New Suspect in MBG Governance Case
The Indonesian Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has named the Chairwoman of the Indonesia Food Security Review Foundation, Glory Harimas Sihombing, as a new suspect in the alleged corruption case concerning the governance of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme. Glory Harimas Sihombing was immediately detained. “The suspect is currently being detained for the next 20 days at the Salemba Detention Centre, branch of the Attorney General’s Office,” said the Director of Investigation at the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, to reporters at the Kejagung in Jakarta on Thursday (18/6/2026). Syarief stated that Glory is charged under Article 12 letters a, b, and e of the Corruption Eradication Law and Article 20 letter a of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code. He also conveyed that Glory was examined as a witness today. However, after investigators found sufficient evidence, Glory was subsequently named a suspect. “After conducting the examination of the witness, GHS, and based on the two pieces of evidence available, the investigation team has named GHS, a private party, as a suspect in the case in question,” Syarief revealed. The Kejagung had previously named five individuals as suspects in the alleged MBG governance corruption case. They are: 1. Former Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Dadan Hindayana, 2. Former Deputy Head of BGN Sony Sonjaya, 3. Former Deputy Head of BGN Lodewyk Pusung, 4. Asep Yusuf Somantri (AYS), a close associate of Sony, and 5. Andri Mulyono (AM), Commissioner of PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal (PT YAT), the supplier of electric motorcycles for BGN. The Kejagung suspects irregularities in the management of the MBG programme, including alleged affiliations between the suspects and the foundation managing the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG), as well as suspected mark-ups in the procurement of electric motorcycles, shoes, tablets, and televisions.
