Jakarta – The investigation into the alleged corruption in the management of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme at the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) is still ongoing. As the investigation has not yet been completed, the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has decided to extend the detention period of three main suspects in the case. They are former BGN Head Dadan Hindayana, former BGN Deputy Head Sony Sonjaya, and former BGN Deputy Head Lodewyk Pusung. The Head of the Attorney General’s Office Legal Information Centre, Anang Supriatna, confirmed that investigators have applied for the extension of their detention. “The investigators have extended (the detention period for Dadan Hindayana and the others),” Anang said on Thursday, 25 June 2026. According to Anang, the detention period for the three suspects has been extended by 40 days. The extension request was submitted by investigators to the Public Prosecutor. To date, the Attorney General’s Office has named six suspects in the alleged corruption case concerning the management of the Free Nutritious Meals Programme within the BGN. In addition to Dadan Hindayana, Sony Sonjaya, and Lodewyk Pusung, investigators have also named Asep Yusuf Somantri, a close associate of Sony Sonjaya, PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal Commissioner Andri Mulyono, and the Chairperson of the Indonesia Food Security Review Foundation, Glory Harimas Sihombing. In this case, investigators suspect the suspects engaged in various irregularities in the procurement of goods and services to support the implementation of the MBG Programme.
