AGO Examines Former Jampidsus as Suspect in Asabri Corruption Case

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has questioned former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah (FA) as a suspect in alleged corruption and money laundering (TPPU) in the legal handling by state officials of the PT Asabri case during the 2020-2024 period.

“Investigators from the Attorney General’s Office have summoned Mr FA to be questioned as a suspect,” said Head of the Legal Information Centre (Kapuspenkum) at Kejagung, Anang Supriatna, at the Jampidsus building of the Attorney General’s Office in Jakarta on Friday.

Anang also said that based on the investigation order (sprindik) issued by the National Police (Polri), Febrie is only a suspect in the PT Asabri corruption case.

Meanwhile, for two other cases, namely alleged corruption in coal governance and alleged corruption and money laundering in the settlement of PT CBS’s debts to PT KNI, he said no suspects have yet been named.

“The others are still under general investigation,” he said.

He added that the Attorney General’s Office remains open to supervision by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the House of Representatives (DPR RI).

“In principle, we will remain transparent and will continue to provide updates on information, while continuing to uphold the principle of caution and the presumption of innocence,” he said.

Secondly, investigation order number 44 concerns the alleged corruption in coal governance at coal-fired power plants (PLTU), which is suspected of having triggered the electricity blackout.

Finally, investigation order number 45 relates to the alleged corruption and money laundering case involving PT Asabri.

Previously, the police had also named DR (Don Ritto) as a suspect in the alleged money laundering in the legal handling by state officials of the PT Asabri case during the 2020-2024 period.
