The Attorney General’s Office has examined former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes Febrie Adriansyah as a suspect in a case of alleged corruption and money laundering in the legal handling of the PT Asabri matter for the 2020-2024 period. Head of the AGO’s Legal Information Centre, Anang Supriatna, stated at the Jampidsus building in Jakarta on Friday that investigators had summoned Febrie for questioning as a suspect. Anang noted that based on the investigation warrant issued by the police, Febrie is only a suspect in the PT Asabri corruption case. Regarding two other cases, namely alleged corruption in coal governance and alleged corruption and money laundering in the settlement of PT CBS’s debt to PT KNI, he said no suspects have yet been named, describing them as still under general investigation. He added that the AGO is open to supervision from the Corruption Eradication Commission and the House of Representatives, emphasising the principle of transparency while upholding the presumption of innocence. The police previously also named Don Ritto as a suspect in a money laundering case related to the legal handling of the PT Asabri matter during the same period.
