AGO Denies SPPG Data Collection Halted After Febrie Case Transferred to Police

The Attorney General’s Office (Kejaksaan Agung, Kejagung) has denied that the data collection process on SPPG kitchens in the regions was halted because the alleged corruption and money laundering case against former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah was transferred to the National Police (Polri).

“No, there is no connection,” said the Head of the Attorney General’s Office’s Legal Information Centre, Anang Supriatna, to reporters on Wednesday (15 July).

Anang explained that Kejagung had previously issued a circular on the collection of SPPG data to several High Prosecutor’s Offices in the regions.

However, he said, the data collection was limited to ten days from the date the circular was issued. He said the purpose of the SPPG data collection was to identify whether there were fictitious distribution points or transactions related to buying and selling carried out by the suspects.

Anang explained that the data collection period had been completed, which is why Kejagung issued a new circular dated 10 July.

Meanwhile, the handover of Febrie’s case from Polri took place on 11 July.

Anang reasoned that the cessation of the data collection was carried out to prevent it from being misused.

“Because the time limit had ended, another circular was issued so that the activities already carried out would be stopped,” he said.

The order to halt SPPG kitchen data collection was set out in Letter Number B-3256/F.2/Fd.2/07/2026 issued on Friday, 10 July.

The letter was signed by the Director of Investigation at the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi.

The letter explains that Jampidsus had previously issued Letter Number B-2668/F.2/Fd.2/06/2026 dated 15 June 2026, which ordered all heads of high prosecutor’s offices to inventory and report various problems in the implementation of the MBG programme.

In the 10 July letter, all heads of high prosecutor’s offices were asked to cease data and information collection activities at SPPGs within their respective jurisdictions.
