AGO Confirms Febrie Adriansyah's Suspect Status with Three New Investigation Warrants

The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) has issued three investigation warrants (sprindik) following the handover of cases from the National Police’s Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortas Tipikor) concerning former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes, Febrie Adriansyah. The issuance of these warrants formally confirms Febrie’s status as a suspect.

Head of the AGO Legal Information Centre, Anang Supriatna, explained that the sprindiks reinforce the suspect status previously determined by Kortas Tipikor investigators. The three warrants cover alleged corruption and money laundering (TPPU) related to PT Krakatau Steel, a corruption case involving a blackout at a PLN power plant, and a case concerning PT ASABRI.

Anang stated that with the issuance of these warrants, all prosecutorial actions have now officially transferred to AGO investigators. He added that the investigation process will continue to synergise and collaborate with National Police investigators and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

Furthermore, the AGO has established a special team of nine prosecutors to handle the case, with most members having previously served at the KPK. The team members are Agus Salim, Muhibuddin, Chatarina Girsang, Riyono, Agus Sahat, Irene Putrie, Renaldi, Zet Tadung Allo, and Hari Wibowo. The AGO noted that the House of Representatives’ Commission III will also oversee the investigation process.
