AGO Confirms Febrie Adriansyah's Status, Issues 3 Investigation Orders
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) of the Republic of Indonesia has confirmed the status of former Junior Prosecutor for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah as a suspect in alleged corruption and money laundering (TPPU) cases.
Head of the Attorney General’s Legal Information Centre (Kapuspenkum), Anang Supriatna, revealed that evidence related to the cases had been handed over by the National Police investigation team to Kejagung investigators, from Tuesday (14/7/2026) until Wednesday (15/7/2026).
Kejagung, he said, has issued three investigation warrants (Sprindik) for the cases.
First, Sprindik Number 43 concerning alleged corruption and money laundering involving PT Krakatau. Second, Sprindik Number 44 concerning alleged corruption in the PLN coal-fired power plant blackout case. Third, Sprindik Number 45 concerning ASABRI, following reports received from National Police investigators.
“Since the Sprindik was issued, all pro justitia activities and actions have been transferred to the Attorney General’s investigators,” Anang said at a press conference on Wednesday (15/7/2026).
“In its implementation, we will continue to synergise and collaborate with the National Police investigators. We will also coordinate with the KPK to supervise the investigation process. And of course, as before, our partners from Commission III of the House of Representatives will also help oversee the implementation of the investigation process that has been handed over to the Attorney General’s investigators,” he explained.
Anang said the handover of the case was routine and carried out as a follow-up measure. He cited the example of the ASABRI case, which was subsequently handed over to Kejagung to handle. With this, he said, the handling of the case has officially shifted to Kejagung.
Kejagung, he continued, would next study the case, including examining all the evidence.
“We will first check the items of evidence from the examination reports submitted by our colleagues from the National Police, including the evidence itself. We will then study the completeness of the material,” Anang elaborated.
When asked about the suspect status determined by the National Police, Anang stressed that the handover of the case to Kejagung does not invalidate the suspect status.
“It does not lapse, but we still need to issue the Sprindik first. What matters is that we receive it first and study it first. Our considerations include the Sprindik from the National Police. At the moment, in one of the cases, he is mentioned among the individuals concerned,” Anang said.
Anang admitted he could not yet detail the case as it still needed to be studied. What is certain, he said, is that with the new Sprindik, a nine-member team will be formed.
“Under the new Sprindik, we will form a special team of nine people. Most of these investigators are former KPK alumni. These are prosecutors who previously served at the KPK. Among them are Mr Riyono, Ms Katarina Girsang, and Mr Zet Tadung Allo,” he revealed.
