AGO and Police Ready to Face Former Junior Attorney General's Pretrial Motion

The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) and the National Police’s Corruption Eradiction Corps (Kortas Tipidkor) have confirmed they are prepared to face a pretrial motion filed by former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, Febrie Adriansyah. Head of the AGO’s Legal Information Centre, Anang Supriatna, stated that the office respects the legal rights of the suspect and his legal counsel, and will present the origins of the seized assets, including 74 kilograms of gold and Rp543 billion in cash found at Febrie’s Sentul residence, during the court proceedings. He assured that all legal processes, from the search to the seizure, are accountable. Separately, Kortas Tipidkor’s Head of Operations, Commissioner Ahmad Yusuf Afandi, confirmed the unit’s readiness to address the pretrial motion. Febrie’s lawyer, Diansyah, explained that two pretrial motions will be filed: one challenging the suspect designation and detention efforts by the AGO, and the other contesting the forced measures, searches, and asset seizures conducted by the police’s anti-corruption unit.
