AGO and Forest Area Task Force Recover Rp379.2 Trillion in State Funds and Assets
The Attorney General’s Office, together with the Forest Area Enforcement Task Force (Satgas PKH), has recorded the recovery of state funds and assets valued at Rp379.2 trillion from forest area enforcement and the handling of several cases.
Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes Febrie Adriansyah stated that the value originates from the surrender of seized goods, compensation payments in corruption cases, administrative fines, non-tax state revenue, tax payments, and the reclamation of forest areas.
“From the enforcement actions carried out, the recorded recovery of state funds and assets totals Rp379,279,638,971,947.96,” Febrie said during a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday.
He noted that the PKH Task Force has reclaimed forest areas covering 5,888,233.57 hectares in the oil palm plantation sector and 13,634.08 hectares in the mining sector. Seized assets include 22 plots of land totalling 238.88 square metres, one mess building, 680,687.6 kilogrammes of tin metal, six smelters, 195 mining equipment units, and 108 heavy machinery units. These assets originated from several entities and companies involved in alleged corruption in the tin commodity trading system.
On 20 October 2025, the Attorney General’s Office handed over compensation funds from a corruption case involving the provision of export facilities for crude palm oil (CPO) and its derivatives in the palm oil industry in 2022. The compensation, amounting to Rp13.2 trillion, came from corporate defendants Wilmar Group, Musim Mas Group, and Permata Hijau Group.
Further payments to the state treasury on 10 April 2026 reached Rp11.4 trillion. On the same date, follow-up proceeds from forest area enforcement deposited through the Ministry of Finance totalled Rp10.2 trillion. Febrie stated that the asset value from reclaiming 5,888,233.57 hectares of forest area reached Rp336.2 trillion based on asset valuation.
Beyond the recovered value, the task force recorded potential administrative fines of Rp21.9 trillion in the oil palm plantation sector against 134 companies. In the mining sector, established administrative fines total Rp32.6 trillion against 104 companies, of which 53 companies have paid Rp2.8 trillion. Consequently, there remains a potential payment of Rp29.8 trillion in administrative fines for the mining sector. Overall, the total administrative fines in the oil palm plantation and mining sectors amount to Rp54.6 trillion, with realised payments of Rp14.2 trillion and outstanding potential payments of Rp40.3 trillion.
