AGO Affirms High-Ranking Official Rotation Unrelated to Febrie Adriansyah Case
Attorney General ST Burhanuddin officially inaugurated a number of high-ranking officials within the Attorney General’s Office (AGO). The AGO has emphasised that this rotation of officials is not related to the legal case ensnaring former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah.
The inauguration of these high-ranking officials was held at the Main Building of the Attorney General’s Office in Jakarta on Friday (24/7/2026). The inauguration was based on a Presidential Decree signed by President Prabowo Subianto, following a proposal from the Attorney General.
Among those inaugurated was Kuntadi as the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, replacing Febrie Adriansyah. Additionally, Asep Nana Mulyana was officially inaugurated as the Deputy Attorney General.
The following is a list of high-ranking AGO officials inaugurated today:
Asep Nana Mulyana as Deputy Attorney General.
Kuntadi as Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes.
Leonard Ebenezer Simanjuntak as Junior Attorney General for General Crimes.
Harli Siregar as Head of the Education and Training Agency of the Attorney General’s Office.
Patris Yusrian Jaya as Head of the Asset Recovery Agency of the Attorney General’s Office.
Hermon Dekristo as Expert Staff for Political, Security, and Law Enforcement Affairs at the Attorney General’s Office.
Asep dismissed speculation that the reshuffle was triggered by Febrie’s case. He stressed that the mutation is a routine agenda within the Adhyaksa Corps. “There is no connection at all to Febrie’s case. It was already programmed and is a routine matter within the organisation, a refreshment and so on,” Asep told reporters after the inauguration.
For context, Febrie Adriansyah resigned from his position as Jampidsus after his residence was searched by the police in connection with an alleged corruption case. He has since been named a suspect in a corruption and money laundering case related to ASABRI, which is currently being handled by the AGO’s Team 9.
Regarding Febrie’s employment status, Junior Attorney General for Supervision Rudi Margono explained that Febrie is still a prosecutor. However, he did not provide details on Febrie’s current placement following his resignation from the Jampidsus post. “He is serving at the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia,” Rudi said when asked about Febrie’s current assignment.
Rudi also confirmed that Febrie continues to receive his entitlements as a civil servant, including his salary, as the legal process is still ongoing. “Yes, he still receives his salary, as there is no final and binding verdict yet,” he stated.
