Agam Regency Government Distributes Aid to 358 Disaster Victims
Lubuk Basung — The Agam Regency government in West Sumatra has distributed aid to 358 heads of household affected by hydrometeorological disasters in Palupuh District to meet their needs in preparation for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.
The aid distribution took place at the main hall of the Palupuh District Office on Wednesday.
“Each head of household received 750,000 rupiah,” said Yunilson, Assistant to the Government and Welfare Division, in Lubuk Basung.
He stated that the donation funds were distributed simultaneously to disaster victims ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.
Those receiving this assistance are victims of flash floods, landslides and flooding that struck the area in late November 2025.
“This aid is intended for purchasing necessities for celebrating Eid,” he said.
The funds represent donations collected by the Agam Regency government following the hydrometeorological disaster that occurred in late November 2025.
He expressed hope that the donations could somewhat ease the burden on the community and be utilised as effectively as possible, particularly in preparation for Eid al-Fitr.
Meanwhile, Village Chief Zul Arfin of Pasia Laweh conveyed his gratitude to the Agam Regency government and donors who had distributed aid to disaster-affected communities.
The assistance can be utilised effectively by the community for beneficial needs in celebrating Eid.
“Hopefully this aid can help ease the burden on the community and be utilised as effectively as possible,” he said.
