Aftermarket Industry Captures Shift in Consumer Vehicle Care Habits
PT Difan Prima Paint, through its Diton brand, introduced four new products at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026, amid evolving consumer demand for vehicle care products that are more practical and can be used independently.
Dept. Head Marketing Communication of PT Difan Prima Paint, Karina Ghaizany, said consumer needs are now shifting, not only towards paint products but also towards comprehensive vehicle care.
“Consumer needs are no longer limited to paint products, but also practical and high-quality care solutions,” said Karina.
The four products introduced consist of Diton Paint Remover Pro Ganas, Diton Tire Shine, Diton Dashboard & Leather Polish, and Diton Polishing Compound (Fix & Restore).
According to the company, the four products cover a number of vehicle care stages, from repainting preparation, paint surface care, tyres, to dashboards and leather materials.
One of the products introduced is Diton Polishing Compound in a 150-millilitre aerosol package. The company claims the product is the first aerosol-based polishing compound in Indonesia.
The product is formulated to smooth paint surfaces, disguise fine scratches, remove dirt, and assist in the vehicle polishing process.
Meanwhile, Diton Paint Remover Pro Ganas is intended to help remove layers of paint and varnish before a repainting process is carried out.
For tyre care needs, the company introduced Diton Tire Shine in aerosol form. The product functions to give tyres a glossy effect and is equipped with protection against UV rays and a water-repellent effect.
Diton Dashboard & Leather Polish is intended for cleaning and caring for dashboards as well as genuine and synthetic leather materials.
Karina said the development of the line is part of the company’s efforts to respond to changes in consumer habits in caring for vehicles.
“Through the four innovations we introduced at GIIAS 2026, we are completing the Diton product ecosystem so that consumers can obtain comprehensive solutions to maintain the appearance and performance of their vehicles,” she said.
