Afterhour Bar and Billiards Fire at Poins Square, Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta: Timeline

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — A bar and billiards venue named Afterhour at Poins Square, Lebak Bulus, Cilandak, South Jakarta, caught fire on Monday (25/5/2026) evening.

South Jakarta Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) task force chief Kendar said the fire began when an employee was replacing a gas cylinder in the kitchen. The flames initially emerged in the kitchen located in one corner of the second-floor building. Several staff attempted to extinguish the fire using fire extinguishers (APAR), but the flames spread rapidly. Upon seeing the fire grow, employees contacted firefighters at 7.17pm WIB. Fourteen fire trucks and 54 personnel were deployed to the scene, with the fire contained by around 8pm WIB.

As a result, one employee named Eka suffered burns and was rushed to hospital by colleagues. The business management estimated losses of approximately Rp 200 million, with several staff still in shock following the incident.
