After Riau, Prabowo Flies to Palembang to Inspect Forest Fire Handling

After reviewing the handling of forest and land fires (karhutla) in Pekanbaru, Riau, President Prabowo Subianto continued his working visit to Palembang, South Sumatra.

Upon arriving in Palembang, Prabowo headed directly to the Forest Fire Handling Command Post in a green Maung MV 4x4 vehicle. The head of state also attended a coordination meeting with relevant stakeholders.

“We are currently at the forest fire command post in South Sumatra, Palembang,” said Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, opening the meeting.

The meeting was attended by TNI Commander Listyo Sigit Prabowo, National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Head of BIN Muhammad Herindra, and relevant regional officials.

“At the end of the meeting, the governors, police chiefs, and military commanders from Jambi and Lampung provinces will join via video conference. Next, the Head of the South Sumatra Regional Disaster Management Agency is requested to provide a report,” said Teddy.
