Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) Saan Mustopa concluded his Ramadan 1447 Hijriah tour with political consolidation in Constituency 8 of West Java, covering Cirebon City, Cirebon Regency, and Indramayu Regency. In his address to party structural ranks, Saan stressed the importance of preparing seriously and measurably for the political momentum leading to 2029.

The NasDem Party deputy chairman conveyed that political victory cannot be achieved instantly, but rather through thorough preparation and strong readiness. Saan used a physics analogy to explain the meaning of momentum in politics. In physics, momentum is the product of mass and velocity. In politics, he argued, momentum is the convergence of preparation and readiness.

“Political momentum is the product of our preparation multiplied by our readiness. If our readiness is zero, then momentum will never materialise,” Saan said in a written statement on Sunday (22/2/2026).

He explained that primary preparation is not solely about strategy or technical planning, but also concerns mentality. Without mental readiness, political victory would be difficult to achieve.

“What is a winner’s mentality? A mentality full of optimism, marked by strong determination. We must have high ambition and aspiration. Because where there is a will, there is a way,” he said.

Furthermore, Saan highlighted political developments in Constituency 8, which he assessed as showing positive trends in both legislative and executive achievements. Nevertheless, he cautioned that these accomplishments must not remain mere statistical figures.

“The results we have achieved must continue to grow and improve. They must not stagnate,” he added.

To ensure sustainable growth, Saan emphasised the importance of strengthening party structures down to the lowest levels. He maintained that the organisational structure is the primary root determining the strength and continuity of the party’s movement.

“The structure must transform into a machine that keeps moving. The structure is the spearhead of the party’s movement. Consolidation must not stop at the top level but must extend all the way down to the grassroots,” he asserted.

He also reminded that a strong structure cannot merely exist on paper. Their existence and role must be recognised and given a sense of pride so they truly function as a real force for the party.

“Give pride to all structural ranks and functionaries. When they feel recognised, they will move with a different energy,” he said.

According to Saan, political consolidation must be translated into solid and sustainable organisational strength. He is convinced that if a winner’s mentality, robust structures, and consistent consolidation work in tandem, the 2029 political targets will not be mere aspirations.

That momentum, Saan said, is a political certainty that can be achieved through collective effort and thorough preparation from an early stage.
