After Questioning, Dude Herlino Insists He Is Not Involved in PT DSI's Internal Affairs

Indonesian actor Dude Herlino has spoken out after being questioned by the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) regarding the alleged fraud case at PT Dana Syariah Indonesia (DSI) on Thursday, 2 April. Dude stated that he has no connection to the internal management of PT DSI. He emphasised that his collaboration as a Brand Ambassador was purely professional. “So, professionally, it was only as a brand ambassador. That’s essentially all it was,” he told reporters. Dude mentioned that the amount of the collaboration fee as a Brand Ambassador was also disclosed to the investigators, in line with the work performed. He also claimed that before signing the contract, he had ensured the company’s legal aspects, including the existence of permits from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Sharia Supervisory Board. “We always prioritise caution. From the beginning, legal aspects have been our foundation,” he said. Nevertheless, Dude admitted that he only understood the alleged problems at PT DSI after following developments through the Hearing Meeting of Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR) involving Bareskrim, PPATK, OJK, and lender representatives in January. “We attended to provide support as witnesses, hopefully it can help. Hopefully, this case can be resolved well,” he explained. On the same occasion, Dude and Alyssa Soebandono’s legal representative, Muhammad Al Ayubi Harahap, stated that the questioning of his clients focused more on their roles and duties as brand ambassadors (BA). Ayubi explained that Dude’s collaboration with PT DSI was bound by an official contract renewed annually. He added that his client had no knowledge of the company’s internal activities. Therefore, questions from investigators touching on internal management aspects were answered with the affirmation that Dude was an external party. “Because we are not internal to PT DSI, we are purely external parties whose services were hired by PT DSI, and there are agreements that have been documented in the contract and have been implemented,” he clarified. Bareskrim Polri summoned actor Dude Herlino and Alyssa Soebandono today for questioning in the fraud case by PT DSI with losses reaching Rp2.4 trillion. Director of Special Economic Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Ade Safri Simanjuntak, stated that both would be examined as witnesses on Thursday, 2 April 2026, in the examination room of the Special Economic Crimes Directorate at Bareskrim Polri. “Both will undergo examination in their capacity as witnesses scheduled for Thursday, 2 April 2026,” he told reporters. Ade Safri explained that both were questioned in this case because they had previously served as Brand Ambassadors for promoting PT DSI’s business. Therefore, he said, this would be delved into by investigators because the total number of PT DSI victims reaches 15,000 people. “Dude Herlino and Alyssa Soebandono, during the time PT DSI’s business activities were running, based on investigation facts, were known to have been part of PT DSI’s business promotion activities as Brand Ambassadors,” he stated.
