Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad) and online transport drivers operating in the Jatinangor Campus have agreed on regulations for accessing the campus area. Online transport can access Gate D.

“There is now a joint agreement letter. Online motorcycle taxi and online taxi drivers can now enter the campus area through Gate D or Tugu Makalangan,” said Unpad’s Director of Asset Management and Infrastructure Facilities, Edward Henry, in Sumedang, West Java, as reported by Antara on Wednesday (8/4/2026).

Under the agreement, two-wheeled (R2) and four-wheeled (R4) online transport drivers are permitted to enter the campus area through Gate D using e-money cards with a zero-rupiah tariff for 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, for exits, the drivers are required to use Gate C, located near Bale Wilasa 1.

Edward stated that the drivers must comply with traffic signs and internal campus rules, as well as maintain order, safety, and comfort in the campus environment.

“The drivers must not engage in actions that could disrupt academic and non-academic activities,” he said.

He also added that the agreement will be evaluated within three months from the signing, and if during implementation it is deemed ineffective or not conducive, the campus may review the policy at any time.

“This agreement will be evaluated after three months. If it turns out to cause disorder in the campus area, the agreement will be reviewed and adjusted again,” said Edward Henry.

Previously, the ride-hailing drivers had held a protest action in front of the Unpad Rectorate Building as a form of protest against the access restrictions into the campus area, which they deemed to hinder their activities in dropping off and picking up passengers.
