After MenPAN-RB, BKN Chief Now Delivers Open Message to Civil Servants
Head of the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) Zudan Arif Fakrulloh has delivered a special message to all civil servants (ASN) across Indonesia. Zudan called on all ASN to continue serving the Indonesian people, even when working quietly behind the scenes.
The message was conveyed by Zudan via BKN’s official Instagram account on Sunday (19/7/2026). Zudan asked civil servants to realise that their work is solely to ensure the state remains present for the community.
“Through this message, BKN Head Prof. Zudan invites us to realise that from classrooms, community health centres, laboratories, service offices, to the field, millions of ASN work in silence to ensure the state continues to be present for the people. 6.7 million ASN, 6.7 million ways to love Indonesia,” the post’s caption stated.
The photo uploaded by BKN contained Zudan’s written message. Zudan spoke of the importance of the ASN’s role in serving the community, even though their work often escapes the spotlight.
“Silent dedication, a growing nation. Not all of the ASN’s work is highlighted on stage. But in the quiet classrooms, behind service desks, in every report meticulously examined, that is where the pulse of a nation is kept alive,” he said.
Zudan stated that this dedication must be carried out by all ASN regardless of their profession. He noted that there are 6.7 million ASN who love the country in different ways.
“Teachers, midwives, civil service police, researchers, nurses, doctors, and others. 6.7 million ASN are 6.7 million ways of loving Indonesia. Step forward, Allah SWT blesses every sincere work for the nation,” he said.
Recently, Minister for Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Rini Widyantini also wrote a letter to all ASN. Through the letter, she expressed appreciation for the ASN’s performance and advised them to continue serving even if not everyone sees it.
The letter was written by Rini and uploaded to her Instagram account on Saturday (18/7). In the post’s caption, she conveyed a message of respect to all ASN.
The following is the content of the letter she wrote to all ASN:
To all Aparatur Sipil Negara across the archipelago, whom I love and am proud of.
Today I want to greet you as fellow human beings carrying a great mandate. I know that not every day feels easy. Some of you work with limitations. Some face high public expectations. Some must keep smiling while serving, even when holding back exhaustion, longing for family, or dealing with personal problems.
Yet every morning, you put on the uniform of dedication. You continue to open service rooms. You continue to answer the needs of the community. You continue to be present. And know that this presence is a mandate and an act of worship. Not all of your hard work receives applause. Not every sacrifice makes the news.
But every child who receives a better education, every patient served with sincerity, every aid that reaches the community, every road that is built, every piece of data managed correctly, all of these are the real face of a working state.
The state is present through your hands. Amidst the challenges and the great opportunities for Indonesia’s leap forward that we face today, I invite us all to remain focused on carrying out this great mandate from the nation we love.
Let challenges be a booster to keep the spirit of service alive. It is precisely in the face of great challenges that professionalism is proven and dedication finds its meaning. The history of this nation was not built by those who only worked when circumstances were easy.
History is built by those who keep standing, keep working, and keep believing that the good done today will become a legacy for the next generation.
I believe there are still many civil servants who work in silence, without the spotlight, without praise, but with extraordinary dedication. They are the true face of Indonesia.
Continue to be ASN who embody BerAKHLAK. Continue to uphold integrity, improve competence, strengthen one another, and deliver increasingly quality services.
