After Meeting DKI Governor, Bogor Mayor Reveals Plan for LRT Extension to Bogor

BOGOR, KOMPAS.com — Dedie A Rachim has revealed that the Light Rail Transit (LRT) project is planned to reach Terminal Baranangsiang in Bogor City. He made this statement after meeting with Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo in Jakarta on Monday (4/5/2026). He explained that the Bogor Depok Bekasi (Bodebek) LRT will integrate with the Jakarta LRT as part of an integrated transportation system in the Jabodetabek area. The plan, he said, also refers to the mandate of Presidential Regulation No. 49 of 2017 as well as further studies on the integration of Jakarta–Bogor LRT. “So then the Bodebek LRT will connect to the Jakarta LRT, and the Bodebek LRT has now reached Cibubur, just needing to connect to Bogor. We hope so. The point is in the Perpres, in the Perpres it’s at Baranangsiang,” he clarified. He emphasised that Bogor City holds a strategic position as the main supporting area for Jakarta. Therefore, active involvement in metropolitan transportation planning is deemed important so that the benefits of development can be felt more evenly.
