After killing her husband, a young wife in Tangerang surrenders to police

Satuan Reserse Kriminal (Satreskrim) Polresta Tangerang, Polda Banten, is probing the motive behind a suspected homicide involving a young wife identified as EA, 25. EA is suspected of killing her husband, Andi alias Joni, 53, at their home in Kapling Pinang, RT 02/03, Kelurahan Tigaraksa, Kabupaten Tangerang. The Head of Criminal Investigation, Komisaris Septa Badoyo, confirmed that investigators are conducting intensive inquiries to uncover the facts and motive behind the bloody incident. ‘We are still conducting investigations into this homicide case; we will clarify the case later,’ Septa said in Tangerang on Friday (7/3). The suspect EA is currently detained at Mapolresta Tangerang for further questioning. Septa asked the public to be patient while the investigation is ongoing. The case emerged after EA went to the police station to surrender shortly after the incident. In response, the Inafis team from Satreskrim immediately moved to the scene to conduct a forensic examination. The victim’s body has also been evacuated for a medical autopsy. Police have secured several pieces of evidence found at the scene and have questioned a number of witnesses. ‘We are conducting a crime scene investigation, and we will update as developments occur,’ Septa added. The tragic event shocked Tigaraksa residents. EA, the young wife of the victim, is suspected of deliberately taking her husband’s life with a sharp weapon, with the victim declared dead at the scene. Police continue to gather witness statements to strengthen the existing evidence.
