After Iran conflict, Trump says there are no limits on his power

President Donald Trump has stated that there are no limits on his ability to wield power following the US-Iran conflict, asserting that the United States possesses the strongest military in the world. In an interview with Axios released on Thursday (18/6), Trump was asked what he had learned about the use and limits of presidential power as a result of the conflict. “There are no limits. I haven’t learned that lesson. I know there are, but there are no limits. We defeated them completely militarily,” Trump said. “We have the strongest military in the world, far beyond anyone else. Who else could impose a blockade like that? I once imposed a naval blockade where not a single ship could pass. Some tried, but they failed. It didn’t last long,” he added. Regarding whether the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Iran this week constituted a form of “unconditional surrender” from Tehran, Trump said that was most likely the case. “Yes, most likely it was indeed an unconditional surrender,” Trump said.
