After Hitting ARA, A Look at CSMI's Profile and Q2 2026 Financial Performance
PT Cipta Selera Murni Tbk is a company engaged in the fast-food restaurant business in Indonesia. The company operates restaurants under the Texas Chicken brand, in addition to having trading business activities. The company was established in 1983 and its shares have been listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) since 9 April 2020.
CSMI is classified under the Consumer Cyclicals sector, within the Consumer Services subsector and the restaurant industry. In running its business, the company relies on restaurant operations as its main source of revenue.
The company also has a subsidiary, PT Cipta Global Selera, with an ownership stake of 88%. That entity is engaged in the restaurant business.
CSMI has operated the Texas Chicken restaurant business in Indonesia since the 1980s. According to the company profile, the restaurant business began operations on 4 July 1984.
The management structure of CSMI as stated in the company report consists of two members of the Board of Directors and two members of the Board of Commissioners.
Summarising data from the IDX, CSMI posted a net loss of Rp923.9 million in the second quarter of 2026, or the first six-month period (6M26).
This performance improved compared with the same period in 2025, when the company recorded a net loss of around Rp1.0 billion. Accordingly, CSMI’s net loss per share in 6M26 reached Rp1.13 per share.
In terms of revenue, CSMI recorded revenue of Rp0.9 billion in 6M26, an increase of 4.8% year-on-year (YoY) compared with Rp0.8 billion in 6M25. Compared with the first quarter of 2026, revenue also grew 37.7% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) from Rp0.6 billion.
Meanwhile, gross profit was recorded at Rp0.5 billion, up 7.2% YoY and up 37.6% QoQ from Rp0.4 billion in 3M26.
In terms of EBITDA, CSMI posted Rp0.2 billion in 6M26, surging 149.5% compared with the first quarter of 2026, which was Rp0.1 billion. However, compared with the same period the previous year, EBITDA actually fell 81.8% YoY from Rp1.3 billion in 6M25.
Meanwhile, CSMI’s net loss in 6M26 was recorded at Rp0.9 billion, worsening 90.3% QoQ compared with a loss of Rp0.5 billion in 3M26, but on an annual basis still improving 7.7% from a loss of Rp1.0 billion in 6M25.
