Jakarta (ANTARA) - KAI Commuter has confirmed that Commuter Line services on the Rangkasbitung route can now pass through after previously being halted due to flooding on the Kebayoran-Pondok Ranji section and disruptions related to the Overhead Catenary System (OCS) power supply.

KAI Commuter Public Relations Manager Leza Arlan stated that the flooding, which had previously necessitated route adjustments, has now receded, particularly on the Kebayoran-Pondok Ranji line, and it is safe to traverse again at limited speeds starting from 20:06 WIB.

“Commuter Line services in the flooded area are still subject to a speed restriction of 5 km/h,” he said in Jakarta on Monday.

Leza explained that, in addition to the floodwaters receding, the Overhead Catenary System (OCS) power supply disruption on the Jurangmangu-Pondok Ranji section has also been restored.

Nevertheless, KAI Commuter mentioned that some adjustments are being made in line with actual conditions, while also considering safety.

On the other hand, KAI Commuter is continuing efforts to normalise operations and clear backlogged train queues. Currently, relevant personnel are still on site to ensure travel safety by continuously monitoring water levels.

KAI Commuter urged all passengers to always prioritise safety and follow instructions from staff.

“We apologise for the operational issues and delays to Commuter Line Rangkasbitung services this evening,” Leza added.
