After Eid Prayers in Aceh, Prabowo to Hold Open House at Palace Tomorrow Afternoon

President Prabowo Subianto plans to hold an open house at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta tomorrow. The open house will take place in the afternoon after Prabowo performs Eid prayers in Aceh in the morning. “Then after (returning from Aceh), the President will go to Jakarta. Then, possibly at the Palace in the afternoon, we are preparing halal bihalal and silaturahmi for all members of the public who wish to visit,” said Cabinet Secretary Teddy during a visit in Medan, North Sumatra, on Friday night (20/3/2026). Teddy stated that the open house at the Palace is open to the general public, as in previous years. The open house is scheduled from Saturday afternoon until evening. “Then there will be lunch, silaturahmi, ketupat and so on. It’s open to the public, from afternoon until evening. Like last year, for the people, the palace is opened to the people, various kinds of food will be prepared, and a little entertainment for children, something like that,” he said. Teddy mentioned that the open house will precisely open around 12 noon. The capacity of the open house is estimated at up to 5,000 people. “We open after Zuhr prayer. Maybe at 12, 1 o’clock, please come. (The capacity) is about 5,000 like last year. Of course, we prepare inside, if it’s full, outside is also prepared by the Minister Secretary of State, tents, then they take turns entering,” he said. “Of course, it’s open from 12 perhaps until Maghrib, people taking turns, maybe with their families to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, if they want to stop by the Palace, they are welcome,” he continued. It is known that Prabowo will carry out a series of Eid al-Fitr activities in two different regions in Sumatra. He will join the takbiran night in North Sumatra and continue with Eid al-Fitr prayers in Aceh on Saturday, 21 March. “Yes, that’s right, the President will do takbiran night in North Sumatra and insyaallah will perform Eid al-Fitr prayers in Aceh tomorrow morning,” said Teddy. This year marks the second Lebaran for Prabowo and Gibran Rakabuming as president and vice president. In 2025, Prabowo and Gibran performed Eid al-Fitr prayers at Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta.
