After Eid al-Adha Communal Leave, Is 29 May 2026 Still a Holiday?

According to the Joint Decree of Three Ministers on National Holidays and Communal Leave for 2026, the Eid al-Adha national holiday for 1447 Hijriah falls on Wednesday, 27 May 2026, with the communal leave set for Thursday, 28 May 2026.

The official list does not include Friday, 29 May 2026 as a national holiday or communal leave. This means the date remains a regular working day despite being between the communal leave and weekend, often referred to as a sandwich day.

Consequently, office, school, and public service activities on Friday, 29 May 2026 are scheduled to resume normally as per each institution’s regulations.
